About our family
Our family has been raising CKC Registered Great Danes for over 20 years. We raise our Danes on a 10 acre ranch in beautiful central Florida!
Our ranch is land that began as our family’s dairy farm FIVE generations ago. So our kids are the fifth generation of Holbrook’s to play in our woods and splash in our creek. 5H Kennels comes from our love of our family, this land and our four legged babies that keep us busy.
We breed for conformation, health, temperament, and longevity. All of our danes live indoors and either sleep next to our bed or on the couch or their own bed. They are our kids and members of the family first and foremost. Our puppies are whelped in our home by me where they are ridiculously spoiled by our puppy-crazed five year old, until they are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks old.
Family owned and operated
It is important for you to know that we are a family breeder. We have made accommodations to our home to be able to make sure our dogs are bred in our house and interact with our family. However, they have their own space to quietly rest with the new mom or as they get older to run, play, and interact with each other.
Responsible Breeding
One of the goals of 5H Kennels is to make sure you are getting a healthy dog with a solid temperament. After all, you are bringing a new family member into your home. You want them to be the best they can be. All of our Great Dane puppies come with a 2-year genetic health guarantee. Our parents are CKC registered and have undergone DNA health testing to make sure there are no known genetic defects before breeding. Most of the parents are our family members and it is important to us that they are healthy and have solid temperaments also.

Once you have purchased a puppy from us you become part of our extended family. We are here for you whenever you need us. We know how important your new family member is and we want you to know that we are here to help. With our knowledge, experience, and connections to other breeders, trainers, veterinarians, etc. We are sure to be able to get you the answers and assistance you need.
